The Salt Mine Loulé is open to the public once again! You can visit it and learn about its history in a 2-hour tour. The mine has 45 km of galleries and is 230 m deep. There is a 1.3 km interpretation route that you can explore with a guide, and learn about the old and current mining processes.  You can learn about the geological importance of the Salt Mine of Loulé and its many applications.
