You can visit the island of Farol, Culatra and Armona with the public Ferry Boat from Olhão. It’s the cheaper way to get to know the Ria Formosa and have quite frequent round trips to Farol, Culatra and Armona. The schedules vary from season to season. You can buy ferry tickets only in the ticket stands near the Ferry in Olhao (location here) or on the islands.
The Ferry Boat from Olhão to Armona Island takes about 15/20 minutes and it’s quite frequent even in winter. You can check the schedule of the ferry boat below.
